Our Mission
One World, One People, One Mission – World Peace
For The Unseen is a non-profit that creates innovative, self-sustaining projects to improve the lives of people in vulnerable communities the world over. We focus exclusively on “the unseen,” i.e., people whose lives have been negatively affected by conflict, neglect, or corruption.
How Sneaking into War-Torn Syria Changed My Life
For The Unseen founder Puneh Ala'i spoke to crowds of thousands about her experience in Syria as part of the Grand Canyon Baha'i Conference 2017 and the video quickly went viral. Watch it here:
Sustainable Projects
For The Unseen works to improve the lives of the "unseen" in our world, that is, those affected by conflict, neglect, or corruption. Our purpose is two-fold: Seeing and sustaining. Aside from providing critical life-saving assistance that gets people from one day to the next, we implement humanitarian projects that will help improve their lives long-term.
Birds of Hope School
2013-Present
In 2013, For The Unseen partnered with local operatives to start the Birds of Hope school for Syrian children. They started with 350 students and today, they have over 3,000 students and a staff of nearly 70. Their success is inspiring, but the school runs chiefly thanks to outside support - which is where For The Unseen comes in.
Cambodian Kids Center
2016-2019
Many Cambodian children roam the streets in Thailand because they can't afford to go to school. A Thai humanitarian named Uan started the Cambodian Kids Center in Koh Chang to change that, and For The Unseen is helping him.
We make a living by what we get, but a life by what we give.
Only through your generosity can we continue positively impacting the lives of those in need.
